Mountain Leader

Chris Jackson

Chris explored various sports during his teenage years. Competing in football & road cycling and finally settling to pursue a career in mountaineering. Chris discovered a passion for climbing following his work as a Performance Specialist at The Altitude Centre in 2018, and hasn’t looked back.

Unfortunately, London isn’t a sensible home for a full-time climber and so Chris divides his time between Scotland, North Wales and the European Alps, depending on the season and more importantly where the sun is shining.

Whilst climbing a variety of disciplines, including rock, ice, alpine and ski touring, Chris has also dedicated a considerable amount of time acquiring qualifications, allowing him to guide and pass on his passion and expertise in mountain ranges around the world.

Chris has set up a guiding company, Fit4, with his university friend, Laura. They hope to compliment your training at The Altitude Centre by offering mountaineering courses and experiences in the UK and around the world.

Chris is no stranger to the Altitude Chamber and hypoxic training, and has spent many hours ‘suffering’ in preparation for the Everest Marathon whilst working at the Altitude Centre in 2019, and is more than happy to help develop specialist mountaineering programmes as well as ‘on the hill’ training weekends in the wonderful British mountains.
