Hannah Knowles

Hannah has experienced sport as a solo athlete and as a member of a team. From competitive swimming to playing representative hockey & captaining her team whilst at University. She loves the thrill of competition and the sense of camaraderie fostered by team sport, but mostly she likes to win!

Having worked alongside Leeds Rhinos during training, Hannah realised she wanted to better understand the impact of the science behind the sport. Motivated by this, she chose to pursue a degree in Sport and Exercise Science at Loughborough University, whilst further nurturing her love for hockey by playing for the University and captaining her team.

At the Altitude Centre, Hannah is looking forward to combining her passion for sports science and working with real people that like to challenge themselves. She is eager to discover how the benefits of altitude training can be harnessed to assist other athletes in achieving their aspirations. She is looking forward to inspiring others to get out of their comfort zone, and to be inspired by others herself!

Greatest/Proudest Sporting Achievement:

Reaching the U18 national finals with my hockey team.

Challenging adventures at altitude:

Courchevel - Orelle - Courchevel in a day. Skiing out to the fourth valley of 'Les trois Vallées' and back to Courchevel was a BIG day on skis.

Favourite meal upon returning from altitude:

Seems slightly rogue, but a sausage plait! (a family tradition post skiing)
