Maisie was an active child, always on the move. Her energy found an early outlet in gymnastics where she loved flip and jump, quickly discovering that her strength lay within the realm of the floor apparatus. She participated in countless team sports as well individual sports growing up, and in secondary school, she discovered trampolining, which quickly become her new passion, leading her to leave gymnastics behind her.
Maisie’s early love for sport led to developing an interest in how the human body performs under physical exertion, inspiring her to pursue a degree in Sport and Exercise Science at the University of Bath.
Upon joining Bath, Maisie found that, as an extravert who thrived in a team environment, cheerleading was for her as it not only involved complex stunts but also tumbling, she had found something that combined all her passions into one.
Outside of University Maisie has always had a passion for trekking. With family ties to Nepal, she completed her first trek in the Himalayas on the Helambu circuit at just seven years old. During her gap year, she returned to the Himalayas to complete the Poon Hill trek. Now, Maisie is looking forward to bringing her enthusiasm for sport to her new role as Performance Specialist at The Altitude Centre and helping clients achieve their goals. As for her personal goals, Maisie is excited to to build toward her first half marathon and tackle some new challenges at altitude, including the climb of Mount Toubkal.
