Designed to be semi-portable, UCL’s new chamber plugs into standard electrical power and can be moved to different sites when required. This latest technology utilises then maximum power available from a standard electrical plug to transport a chamber to an accurately controlled altitude.

The CASE Xtreme Everest team, based at UCL are a dedicated team of intensive care doctors, nurses and scientists who conduct experiments on themselves and other volunteers at high altitude in order to develop novel therapies to improve the survival rates of their patients.
