Marathon training can feel like a black hole of information. There is so much out there, but what should you be doing, and should you not be doing? And how do you know what to do when it comes to race day?

What to expect?

Following on from our Marathon Training Do’s & Dont’s event, this is all about making sure you get your race day right. It’s important to understand that we will all have personal preferences, and what works for you, may not work for the runner next to you, but there are certainly a number of aspects that you should consider when planning your race day prep.

Our Lead Performance Specialist James will take you through the lead up to your race, from the start of the taper, through to the logistics of getting to the start line in the right state physically and mentally!

– Tapering – how and why?
– Nutrition – what to eat and when?
– Common mistakes – what to avoid on race day!
– Logistics – how do I make my life easier on race day?

When is the event?

James’ Marathon Training Race Day Preparation talk will take place on the 4th March, from 7pm – 8pm, and it’s one you will certainly want to be there for.

Where is the event?

We will be hosting the event at The Altitude Centre (EC2V 8AF), and you can sign up to the event on Eventbrite here, but hurry, as we anticipate a good turnout for this one!
