Another year, another successful Kilimanjaro trip for The Altitude Centre’s team. Check out the video from this years trip below!

Training for Kilimanjaro

Like many trips, they don’t start when you get to the airport, they start with your preparation up until that point. With 3-months of altitude preparation in the bank as part of the trip (including exercise, IHE and Personal Training), and some UK trekking trips behind them, the climbers took to Kilimanjaro with our friends at City Mountaineering, and it certainly didn’t disappoint.

It was really great to meet people at The Altitude Centre that were either training for another trip, or part of the team on this trip to Kilimanjaro. There was always a friendly face to chat to and discuss what you had been up to! The staff and training really filled me with confidence and helped to calm my nerves for sure.

Kilimanjaro – The Mountain

What more do you need to say? The views, the company, the sense of achievement… and of course the sunrise.

Trekking Kilimanjaro is not just about the Summit, but it’s about the whole journey to get there, and that begins from the moment you sign up, to the moment you get back home. Creating a team of climbers to train, climb, and celebrate with adds to the unique experience Kilimanjaro can offer, and certainly made this trip one to remember!

Mind. Blown. From signing up to the trip almost a year ago, to the training weekends away, kit preparation, and altitude acclimatisation at The Altitude Centre, let alone the trip itself, has just been an incredible experience and one to cherish for a lifetime.
