The Altitude Centre has been busy chasing British Basketball around the country moving the Altitude kit between different training venues on the run up to the Olympics.
The support team who includes their Chief Medical Officer Mark Gillett, Nick Grantham Strength and Conditioning coach and Chris Barnes has had some great results with the players and wrote a piece for Leaders in Performance on hypoxic training and it’s use within team sports. The training methodology is based on our current research and protocols developed in conjunction with South Bank University as part of a £200,000 research project. The Altitude Centre have just completed their research, so watch out for new cutting edge evidence based applications for elite athletes. Research to be published later this year.
