Does IHT affect the lung function of asthmatic athletes?
New Zealand Journal of Sports Medicine, 2002.

This study demonstrated a statistically significant increase, (p=.012) in FVC after IHT in both asthmatic and non-asthmatic participants. Some asthmatics showed an improvement in symptoms and a reduction in medication use. Read the abstract (PDF)

Effect of IHT on the quality of life of children with bronchial asthma.

Following a course of IHT in children aged 6-16. The quality of life after 3-5 years improved with remissions less frequent in 97% of cases. The doses of broncholytics decreased, the frequency of acute respiratory viral infections decreased and the distress and severity of asthma decreased. The quality of life improved compared to the control group.
